Q: I just purchased
a Sennheiser e609 or e906 and it doesn't seem to fit onto
the normal mic clips I use?
A: Check to see
where you have the transmitter power supply plugged in.
Are there any cell phone chargers, computers, computer equipment,
or otherwise digital equipment plugged in to the same power
strip, or the same box on the wall? Digital electronics
often add a lot of noise to a power circuit, and most consumer
power strips act only as surge protectors. An easy solution
to this is a power conditioner. Most music stores sell power
strips, or rack-mountable power supplies with built in power
conditioners. This gets rid of a lot of noise from digital
equipment, and some even isolate individual plugs from each
other to get rid of all audible noise entirely! Even the
most basic pro-audio power conditioner should work better
than most of the consumer level power strips.
A: Some noise with wireless headphones
can be expected in certain areas, depending on a number
of factors. It shouldn't be very noticable though, even
in the pauses in between music. However, when you have a
wireless headphone transmitter plugged into the headphone
jack on a computer that you use a wireless mouse and keyboard
on...you may experience an annoying amount of noise, especially
as you move the mouse or type. Try plugging the transmitter
into a regular cd player, even in the same room. This should
clear up any problems you're having.
A: Yes, these
guitar amp mics are not designed for regular vocal mic clips,
but there are some brands of adjustable mic clips that should
fit them. Also, they come with Sennheiser brand mic clips
that fit. Some small condenser mic clips may also fit these
mics.
